Beef soup( slow cooker recipe)

~Ingredients:

1.5 - 2kg corned beef/gravy beef
1 large onion, peeled
-6 whole cloves
-1 tablespoon lemon juice or vinegar
-6 peppercorns
-2 stalks of celery
-1 carrot, peeled
-1 bay leaf
-2 tablespoon brown sugar
Method:

-Soak meat overnight in water if very salty(corned beef).
-Drain.
-Halve onion and stud meat with cloves.
-Place meat into a slow cooker with all other ingredients and add cold water till covered.
-Cover and cook on low for 10 - 12 hours.
-Turn off heat and let stand in water for an hour or two.
-Serve hot or cold.
