Lets make some sweet kichchdi for Makar Sankranti.
Sweet Kichchdi
1 cup Rice
1/2 Chana dal
2 cups jaggery
1 tsp cardamom pd
1 cup coconut grated
dry fruits of ur choice
1/2 cup ghee.
Method :-
1. Dry roast Channa dal on sim flame till it gives fine aroma.
2. In a thick bottom vessel , add about 3 cups of water and cook rice and channa dal together.
3. when done, keep aside.
4. In a pan add crushed jaggery and 2 tsp of water and make syrup. if u find any impurities.strain it. then transfer it to a clean pan.5. Now add the boiled rice and channa dal to this syrup and cook again.
6. Add grted coconut, cardamom pd, and ghee to it and blend well.
7. bring this to a boil stir continously . take care not to burn .
8. Finally Garnish with dry fruits fried in ghee .
