Ingredients:
1-2 onions
1 can diced tomatoes/2-3 small ones
1 -2tsp chilli powder
1 tbsp coriander powder
1/2 tsp tumeric powder
1 tsp cumin powder
1 tbsp ginger garlic paste.
1 tsp garam masala (or drop 1 cinnamon stick and 2 cloves when heating oil initially).
2 tbsps oil
1/2kg-3/4 kg mince( beef /mutton)
1 cup peas
coriander leaves(2 tbsp)
Method:
-Finely dice 1-2 onions.
-Add 2 tbsps oil in a pan,(add cinnamon and cloves and let splutter if you are not adding garam masala powder later) add onions.Fry well till brown.
-Add 2 tbsp ginger garlic minced.Fry well again till raw smell disappears.
-Now add 1-2 tsps( according to taste) chilli powder, 1tsp tumeric, 2 tsps coriander powder and 1 tsp cumin powder and fry again .
-Add 1/2-3/4 kg washed mince to this and toss well it looks dry.Add a can of diced tomatoes and 1 tbsp tomato paste.Add salt. mix well and cover with lid.
-When mince looks cooked in 10-15 minutes.Open the lid and add 1 cup of peas.Cook for 5 minutes more on open flame till quite dry.
-Add garam masala powder and mix well .
-Remove from flame and add coriander leaves on top.
Can be eaten with steamed rice/naan/chapathis or with bread.Yumm!
